Happy Father's Day

Just wanted to send a shout out to all fathers in our group. You guys are examples to all of what great dads should be like. So to Hamel, Mox, Mobs, CD, and Besaw- best wishes and thanks for being role models.

Happy Father's Day also to SmallCox. I know they're illegitimate and you refuse to acknowledge the DNA test is reliable (and thus represent the other end of the spectrum0- Bizarro Hamel if you will), but congrats on sending the seed out nonetheless.

New Kaper- Jurassic Lake

So I vote we organize a new kaper.

This will involve a 12 hour flight down to Argentina and an 10 hour drive- 8 hours of which will be on a dirt road. When we get there we will have tents to sleep in (no lodge, food or guides) and 30 mph winds to cast against. It will be cold no matter when we go.

However...this is where the biggest trout on earth reside. Jurassic Lake is the type of fishing where you can EXPECT to catch 20 lb fish. And a lot of them. To give a little perspective, my largest trout was an Alaskan rainbow that went 15 lbs, and I have accepted that I will never catch a trout that big again anywhere in the world.

That is, until I found out about the Ultimate Rustic Badass Flyfishing Adventure. I only can handle doing that kind of trip with the boys...

What do you say??

Check out these YouTube videos on the Lake:

Any cheap labor?

So I am beyond sick of transcribing, and I have about 15 hours of recordings to go through in the next couple of weeks. This will be the equivalent of making Nikes in Micronesia, but anyone know someone who likes to transcribe for little to no money?

Just updates from me- D.C. was good and I collected a lot of data for the dissertation. Margaret was there with me and we had a good time at night with our friends who live out there. I just do not enjoy transcribing the interviews. It is boring and I hate hearing my voice. I'm sure some of you hate that as well.

Anyway, the rest of you should try doing some posts of your own, and not just responding to mine (although I do appreciate that). I'm sure you all have much more exciting things to talk about than I do!

Although, if you ever get out to D.C. and want to try a good restaurant, there's a place called "Heritage" that is the best Indian food I have ever had in my life. It was incredible.

Welcome to Kaper Inc.

To those in the know:

This is where we now can safely coordinate Kapers, post irresponsible weblinks, download inappropriate audio files, and generally maintain a Kaper website without paying for it (hell, if your kid wins the spelling bee, we want to hear about it too!). And this will allow many fewer public viewings outside the 11 (as Master P would want it).

So start blogging, mighty 11. I look forward to humor and hijinks to come.

Cheers.
